Team Pure & Wild Wins R2AK!!

Team Pure & Wild won!! We had no doubt they could complete the 700+-mile race from Washington to Alaska, but with myriad obstacles thrown at all teams — logs, lack of wind, lots of wind, adverse rip currents, torn sails, more logs — you never assume anything!

Jonathan McKee, Matt Pistay and Alyosha Strum-Palerm finished the Race to Alaska in 4 days, 4 hours and 32 minutes. Team Pure & Wild generously used the race to raise awareness of food insecurity and fundraise for SeaShare — thank you!!

"Official" coverage by race organizers can be found here. The race is over, but you can can relive the team's race activity on Facebook!

Charge the Headphones!

The Aquademia podcast recently featured Fiona Robinson, SeaShare development director, to discuss food insecurity in the United States. Published by Global Seafood Alliance, the podcast covers the ongoing need to get more nutrient-dense protein into the nation's food banks. Put on the headphones/ear buds and listen to the episode.

Is it Really 3rd Quarter??

As we enter the third quarter (eek!, where did the time go??) companies begin to plan their end-of-year charitable giving campaigns. SeaShare's work — ensuring food bank clients have access to seafood — can only be carried out if we have partners in the seafood industry. Will you help? Reach out to Jim today!
