American Seafoods Exec joins SeaShare Board


Rasmus Soerensen of American Seafoods Company LLC

Bainbridge Island, WA —SeaShare is pleased to announce that Rasmus Soerensen recently joined its Board of Directors. Soerensen is Executive VP of Global Sales and Marketing at American Seafoods Company LLC, where he has worked since February 2004. He is responsible for production planning, worldwide disposition of products, and market strategy development. 

“Rasmus has been a friend, and a hunger-relief advocate, for years.  I look forward to working with him, and American Seafoods, to feed even more families,” said Jim Harmon, SeaShare’s Executive Director.  

Soerensen has been an active board member of the Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers and has served on the board of the National Fisheries Institute. He also volunteers on the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute’s Internal Marketing and Whitefish committees.

Soerensen started his career in the food industry in 1993 with Danish frozen food trading company NOWACO A/S, where he was head of the seafood department from 1996 to 2004. He earned a business degree from the Business College in Aalborg, Denmark. Soerensen lives with his family in Seattle.
