SeaShare at the Fishermen's Fall Festival

We had a great time getting to know people at the Fishermen's Fall Festival in Seattle last weekend. We quizzed passersby on their seafood and nutrition knowledge, asked kids (and adults) to tell us how they feel on an empty stomach, and we got a lot of kids playing a nutrition game, and to think about what foods will help them grow and stay healthy.

Great people watching too: Pirates and tortoises were making the rounds. We didn't get any photos of the pirates though, they might have made us swab the deck, and we had a ferry to catch!

A big thank you to those who turned out to help: board members John Garner and Richard Mullins; and Peter Wakeman of Cannon Fish (a National Fisheries Institute Future Leader).

John Garner and Peter Wakeman manning the booth. Thank you!

Some of the plates people wrote on and posted for Hunger Action Month. One of our favorites: "On an empty stomach, I can't be nice."

We also managed to "ink" 100 kids with SeaShare tattoos. This little guy was really excited about his new look.

Great advertising. Something to consider for next year.
