SeaShare
is the only organization
that focuses on seafood, and the seafood industry, as
a source of nutrition for hunger-relief. We bring the
resources of a Northwest industry - fishing - to help
fight hunger right here in Western Washington. Our board
of directors represents the breadth and diversity of
the Northwest seafood industry. SeaShare's donation
model leverages the help of fishermen, processors, service
providers, and financial donors who want to give back
in their communities. Many of our donors could not participate
if SeaShare did not coordinate and combine donations
into a single finished product. Together, we have provided
over 150 million meals to Feeding America’s food
bank network since 1994.
