SeaShare
is one of the largest protein donors to Feeding America, The
Nation’s Food Bank Network. They have over 200 affiliates
serving all 50 states. Here in Washington, we work daily with
Food Lifeline, a leading member of the Feeding America network.
No one else has the resources and expertise to safely and
efficiently distribute our seafood to the families who need
it. We appreciate the work that Feeding America does every
day in our communities.

The food banks need us!
Not enough good Food.
Protein
continues to be a difficult item for food banks to access.
Food prices are starting to edge up, and that trend affects
the quality of food available for donation. SeaShare has
been working with Feeding America to pursue donation opportunities
with the greatest potential. In addition to the donations
we generate, SeaShare also works to connect local seafood
donors directly with food banks in their communities.
Our goal is to improve the nutritional offerings at food
banks, and change eating habits over the long term. Seafood,
and its associated benefits, are important elements in
the battle against obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and
memory loss.
